I know there was a post about the enchantment update, some
"Spells from the enchantment spell school involve gaining control over another creature, or imbuing them with special properties"
I've seen some posts mention increasing the duration of dominated creatures with each spell focus, which does sound appealling.
I think it'd be pretty dope if enchanters could get:
Split Enchantment
How this would work is, the caster picks a target (like the PDK Ward) and any [buffing] spells they cast on themselves apply to target.
This includes spells with the Range: personal - Area of effect: caster
i.e Ghostly Visage, Damage Shields, War Cry
Granted, this could probably apply to hostile single target spells as well (with the split cast affecting another creature within cast range), but it's definitely a stretch.
I'm not sure how that would directly affect balance of the game, unfortunately, but just throwing stuff out there!
-command ideas:
Aura of Antipathy - you radiate a magical aura that causes nearby attackers to doubt their resolve to strike you. Any creature within 10 feet of you has disadvantage on melee attacks against you while you can take actions. Creatures that cannot be charmed are immune to this effect.
Which probably just translates to a mini fear aura that causes AB loss.
