It is a cruel fate to be a child for all of time, how about giving them adult forms now?

Elsie could be a MUCH needed npc barmaid for the front bar of the nomad, which currently doesnt have one.
And Joseph could be pottering around the farmland as a farmhand and could go into the NPC house in the farm at night (which I assume is the Haywards house?)

perhaps rename the children running around cordor to something else, maybe give them a different path and location too :)

If we aged all NPCS at an appropriate rate I'd have my hands full, and these NPCS are still relatively recent.
