- Players can -requestalignment John Doe chaotic
- A conversation box to write in the reason in a tell to yourself, as though you were writing on paper, what the character did to deserve a few points in a shift.
- DMs can choose to observe said character and make a decision on if any points will go anywhere, especially if multiple other players are making similar -requestalignment.
- Alignments are really cool, in my opinion, so it can help with everybody's storytelling!
- This could become especially interesting for class or deity restrictions with characters who are clerics, paladins, druids, blackguards, palemasters and so on, and how those things relate to their environment, characters and influences around them.
- Disconnect IC/OOC feelings? The message that (Your actions have shifted your alignment) might advise players that their character actions have consequences and other characters are seeing this unfold, hence their players making the -requestalignment. By that I mean, the player can decide if they want to continue doing what they're doing or change their ways.
- On that note, this can be an interesting thing for a player because then they can make the choice to continue their actions or change them, based on how they want the alignment.
- I could probably think of more benefits, but this is the general idea.

Re: -requestalignment
This is something we already have procedures in place for, and is overseen by DMs. I don't feel a further in game mechanic is required. Please contact the DM Team via private PMs or the DM Email when wishing to address either your own alignment, or that of somebody else.
