It's a little frustrating playing a diviner because you already have to wait until epic to get your 'cookie' that is worth anything, and your 'flavor' ability is very lackluster. Almost everyone is fire because.. everyone is doing writs/getting xp, and thus they are dealing damage to things. On other characters I have been attuned to fire despite spending like 90% of my time stealthed and doing a lot of crafting. It is really boring to see fire on almost everyone, and it doesn't really tell you anything about the character. Also, every time I use the deck of stars it's blank. Every time. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but it feels bad when, every time I've used this thing, it comes up with nothing.
I think the system bears looking at. It'd be cool if more factored into one's aura, if there were more auras, and if everyone had a card in the deck of stars, or if there were more cards that were easier to get. There are over 70 cards in Thoth tarot decks, all with different meanings and interpretations. I realize that a Deck of Stars is not a tarot deck, so to speak, but it has many obvious similarities, so it would be nice if it had as much variety as a tarot deck.
It's probably very low on the radar as far as improving/changing things but I wish it were more interesting and hope it gets more attention!
