Shanna Waynolt

Post by Terenfel »

Did a quick search of the forum and did not find any Kudos to this amazing player... so, thought I would make one 😊

I been so lucky as to play along side one of what I think is the best player on this server. And seen how the Waynolt family has grown form all her work. It’s amazing.

I first meet Shanna on my old Character Zachard Black, who she mended from his broken state and over time converted to a follower of Chauntea as well. It was an amazing story I don’t want to go to much into details of, as this is about the player and her character that made that all possible. Shanna Waynolt.

Zachard sadly died of old age and I started playing other characters… but they all missed playing with Shanna and the Amazing family and faction she was running. She asked me to play one of her kids. Alrius. And never have I had so much fun playing on this server. I am eternally grateful for getting to play this character and continue to be part of her amazing story and character. She have made the best foundation for a new character a player could ever ask for.

If you haven’t been by the Riverbank in Bendir and seen the shine she has made to Chauntea, I would suggest you do. It’s a landmark on Arelith now and really shows how much time, energy and attention to details this player has. If you have been lucky enough to get invited inside, you will see its not just a front. She takes it all the way.

She is a player that often leaves me in awe when I play with her, how well she plays this strong personality and motherly character amazes me every time. She is surely the player that gives me the much joy in this game, and why I keep coming back as often as I can.

The faction and family she runs is amazing in the how long its endured, how consistent it is and how complete it is, I not seen a anything like it anywhere. And while its faction is nothing without its members, I am sure that they would all agree that she is the clue that hold its all together

I will cry for the server the day Shanna is not on it anymore, but hopefully that wont happen in many years 😊

Seconded

Shanna and the Waynolt family have been fantastic to RP with for such a long time, through thick or thin the Chauntean followers will always be there

Fantastic people both in and out of the game, and I much hope that the entire family, and even their legacy will stay <3

I also have to give kudos to the Lady Waynolt. She just recently met Zaravella, and she was gracious enough to help with an important matter... thanks for that. Looking forward to more RP oppurtunities with you.

I always dread when somebody sends me links to the forum so this was a nice surprise.

I would like to say that I am grateful for the acknowledgement given here, but also that no truely great character exists in a vacuum, there have been near countless fantastic players and their characters that have shaped my own into what she is today.

So really I would like to use this oppertunity to thank the following characters for their contribution towards where my Character has gotten to and also what she learned from each of them.

Aeriel - You should help people and not get caught in the negative hearsay circlejerk.
Adoamros Cralnober - Elves are creepy but in a good way (?)
Andriarna Dirtytoes - Even the smallest people have struggles larger than life
Ava Dal - Other women are jealous and will try to steal your man
Azrael - Aaesimar are lovely people
Aurora Blackwell - some friends need more help than others, take your eyes away and they will be gone before you know it
Alara Thienfalen - Half elves are troubled but it does not stop them from trying to do their best, you should too.

Bella Weatherbee - Cookies make the world go round, nobody should go hungry and all deserve comfort
Bok - Giving a person help without expecting anything in return is true kindness
Buppi (Dirtytoes?) - Sometimes you should just leave well enough alone.

Catherine Duskwood nee Waynolt/Fallon - Care for everyone no matter what walk of life they come from

Draavos Lynn - Love is perhaps one of the hardest lessons in life, also stand up for yourself or people will walk all over you.
Duncan Waynolt - Not everyones path in life is full of happiness but that doesnt mean they dont deserve any.
Duskaria Weaver - appear dignified in public as often as possible.
Drafter Moss - Hugs, cuddles and tea are the best combination, provided no spillages
Derristan Barley - Some nobles abuse those under them, also no matter how big men get they are still just boys with big axes

Elise Davontis - The Arcane tower is a horrible place.
Elysia - Your friends will kick your butt if you become a danger to yourself, try to continue on as a better version of yourself.
Elinaet J Neidre - Elven / Human interbreeding relations ignore the plight of the resulting children

Fe'dath Merladiel - Elves can be pretty great, even if they get angry at the drop of a hat.
Finibelle Blimth - The ideal wife template, must be more like her.

Ghestaldt Blimth - Still waters are perhaps the deepest waters of them all
Geralt Duskwood - Some men are so confusing that sometimes they come back around to making sense again, sometimes they dont.

Jacques Le Chevalier - If you believe in it then you should commit everything to seeing it through.
Jantira Kai'luran - Even the strongest unassuming Elves do have a soft side?
Jonathan Kross - Go to the ends of the earth and back if it means you will acheive your goals

Ryth Eleniar - Even the most handsome and honourable men lie and cheat

Krush Ironbelly Skullcrusher - Dont complain because nobody wants to hear it, also heal me im dying.
Kellarn Stonekeg - Dwarven honour and customs are strange things.
Kyomi Sin'vah - Half elves are definitely twisted in odd ways, still doing their best to get along though... creepily
Korianna - Elves are seldom to be trusted

Lunarya Amarilis - Elves are sensitive and are generally dislikeable
Lydia Byrde - Dont drink alcohol, also dont grab them so hard.

Madeline (talona worshiper) - Talonans definitely need to be purged from existance
Marla Webber - Even Half elves are worried their children will be twisted and unhappy forever
Merianna Rosenstone - disagreements unresolved last an eternity
Meriam Fuzzypaw - Facts over fiction, the strongest people have the best support groups

Nissa - Pixies are fun and sparkly, you will still be finding those sparkles on your clothes six years down the line
Nym - I hate being given nicknames.

Ozenda Waynolt/Wayfarer - Drow are terrible terrible people, if you can give somebody happiness- do it.
Olivia Van Graf - stereotypes are stereotypes because they dont apply to everyone.

Poe - Are all Necromancers bad? Do they deserve redemption and is that even possible?

Rannos Susidian - Stand strong with chin high no matter who you are speaking to, carrying a big sword helps.
Ragnar T Stonebeard - Good friends can never be replaced.

Serdon - Walking into town and hiring random men as your personal manequins is yeilds good results.
Stellen Varg - Coffee is the best drink (Shanna still doesnt like coffee).

Tadala Grove Mother - Druids are both wise and fascinating even if their hygene leaves much to be desired.
Tanril Lorunta - Is it right to murder criminals instead of teaching them another way to be?
Tansy Wealde - Youre way to acustomed to even the most horrifying parts of the island, be mindful of those who arent.
Terto Tarquin - Friends hated by most other friends are still friends.

Venna - give hugs as often as possible, are elves usually this hyperactive?

Yeto - A calm word and perhaps a song goes a long way.

Zachard Black - Even the most fargone person can be redeemed, turn a new leaf and start over doing good instead of evil.

Yes.. similar story here. Originally had a character who was pretty much at odds with Shanna when she first appeared, and then later ended up with another of my characters being adopted by the family. It's been one of the most heartwarming stories I've had the pleasure of seeing unfold on Arelith.

Absolute joy playing with Shanna. The sole reason, I stuck with Arelith after dying countless times to rats on a boat, was being invited to a tea-party as Drafer with people like Shanna, Fe'dath and Brizshala.

Later bumping into Shanna in the Farmfields completely altered Catherine from being an emo ninja assassin to becoming an adopted daughter of the noble family.

I recall bringing you into my loop on Draavos back when you first started the server on Shanna. Its cool to see how much she's evolved as a character and how you've evolved as a player. You've proven yourself to be a player that has made Arelith that much more alive.

People ebb and flow, times are always changing, battles come and go ... but in my Dwarf's story there was one constant - Shanna was his friend from the first page until the last.

His least favorite and only mother in law. Shanna and Geralt try their hardest, but despite of it all they sometimes go as well togheter as mustard with toast. Nonetheless, I can't imagine myself having asmuch fun with any other character or player in her spot. She's a well fleshed out and enjoyable character IG, and OOC she's friendly and fun, meaning we both get to laugh at whatever disagreement they're in now.

Current characters: Aeneas Ionides, Baldr Garmrsson Svartr

Retired characters: Jared Oster, Melnor Tey'lin, Geralt Duskwood, Oddny Baldrsson Svartr, Eurid Aporos

I created Ifan as my first character without even knowing of the Waynolt family and having a hub of worship helped deepen his arbitrary choice of deity to fit Good/Nature/Neutral and helps make them a more complex character. That is only by existing.,the few times i've role played with them has always been pleasant and brings interesting introspection even after the role play has stopped.

I still fondly recall Ezekiel getting some family advice from Shanna the first time they interacted and Ezekiel was still new to this whole marriage business a million years ago when he had his first husband. Shanna's Shrine to the Earthmother was such a huge inspiration to see that it really refreshed my vigor and desire to be more active in Arelith. There it was, a player made Shrine. Beautiful and complex and wonderful, made me realize that players had more agency on this server than what I thought when I first came here.
