Hey, folks.
Recently I've been looking around a few other NWN:EE servers to see what else is out there besides Arelith.
During one of those explorations I came across a very cool feature that would add a very reasonable function to the doors of housings
It's being able to peek outside.
On the particular server I came across this feature it was an option given to you by clicking the door on the inside of player housings. A pop-up appeared asking if you'd like to either exit or peek outside. By choosing option 2 it would then tell you how many visible PCs and NPCs were currently in an area right outside your door. From what I was able to see so far it seemed to have been half the usual view-distance for what kind of area it'd check for people in.
Now another thought I had while playing around with that feature was how awesome it would be if all players had access to a feat or command to use on doors (probably impossible without Haks) that would allow them to peek through any door in the game for the same function. To check how many PCs and NPCs there are on the other side of it.
Of course implementing anything like those two ideas would surely be a pain in the butt (as most suggestions I believe LOL) but I think it would be a neat thing to have and add further flavor and immersion to the server.
Since this is basically half a suggestion I am bound to ask for the opinions of any players that read this. So go ahead, give us your feedback on if you would like to have such functions or not!

Re: Player housing doors
This sound dope! It would be cool if maybe with high enough Listen, it would catch any dialogue that occurs 2 seconds after use (or something like that).
Listen could use some love, when it comes to things other than spotting stealthers, considering how spot is clearly the mechanically sound choice.

Re: Player housing doors
The telescope system could be modified to achieve this, but it would be tedious to create viewing points for every single door, and that system tells how many PCs/NPCs are in the entire area, which wouldn't be very useful information in a place like Cordor.
