Am I the only to find that this auto-sorting chests (In Castles, homes, shops, etc etc), are so annoying ?
Can't make any fair organization, it just messes it up right after.
Am I the only one who would like to see this removed ? That would be the best I can think of, really.
Cheers !

Re: Chests : Auto-sorting
Since, AFAIK, these items load from an external database, I don't think it would be a good use of Dev time to also track and store their position within the containers.
They wouldn't be "removing" a "feature", they'd be adding a new one.

I have no idea about technicalities, but I think it goes in that little corner with other updates for life-quality-improving !
Re: Chests : Auto-sorting
It annoys my ocd too, but it isn’t completely random: it (seems to ) recreate them after reset in the order they were added, same with stores. You can pre-sort it like this if you want to, by removing and re-adding everything in order.
Yes, I realize how anal that sounds!

Re: Chests : Auto-sorting
Items in storage fixtures are indeed saved to the database.
It might be possible to implement something to have things sorted when the server restarts, but I doubt it will be worth the time to implement it.
I somehow foresee a Developer correcting me though.
