Extreme enhancement at fugue, Benwick etc

Thought I'd try playing again recently but to my dismay the lag that only seems to have become a thing since Enhanced Edition reared its ugly head and gave me one of the most horrendously unplayable experiences of my life. I've passed through Benwick before and suffered severe FPS drops but this time I had FPS that must have been in the negative numbers. I realize this issue isn't Arelith's fault but it's caused by a memory leak with certain VFXes - the fog, the Evard's tendrils - that as far as I'm aware Beamdog created and just can't be effed to fix (thanks guys). My friend who was with me at the time reported the exact same issue.

I really feel the only solution will be to remove any fancy visuals from Kelemvor's Wall, the Arcane Tower, Benwick, Avernus and anywhere else with similar issues until Beamdog decides (if ever) they're bored of making themselves prime targets for a lawsuit.

Yeah, the lag in these places is absurd. I'd avoid them outright if RP didn't take me to them. It's especially egregious in the Fugue—the last thing I want to deal with when I've just died is headache-inducing frame drops on top of it. Hopefully they'll address the issue soon, or at least tell us they're making it a priority now that their ridiculous ponzi scheme mobile/console ports are finished.
