Fishing

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:

  • implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
  • the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
  • the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to fix everything.

Fishing

Post by Anime Sword Fighter »

Make it so:

There are certain places to sell Fish collected from Fishing or just found in the random crates and barrels can be sold for some petty amount per fish.

Would recommend the Dockmaster in Cordor, and then someone in Wharftown, at 3-5 gold a fish.

Also:

Add in a few more tidbits to the otherwise seemingly stale matrix for it. Heck, even just some Softwood to simulate drift-wood would be neat, though I feel like it may already be in it. Or maybe that was Runescape.

One more thing:
A random chance to spawn a ocean-themed NPC to keep you on your toes. Preferably scaled to the catcher's level.
Water mephits, the humanoid fish Sahugain(?), both come to mind.

You should be able to sell them to settlements as Food already.
