Greater mining bags are broken

I've tried 3 of them, none of them are able to hold more than roughly 20.1 lbs of stuff before they refuse to take more.

It's a common issue. Have your bag exchanged with a DM. Most bags in the system are bugged.

yes all the found greater bags are borked, but DMs are happy to trade them for the working ones

I've heard that and I've tried asking in the DM channel but I don't get a reply.

Can we just like, get this fixed, instead of needing to flag a DM every time?

I've had the same issue getting mine replaced. I've found it to be extremely difficult, because several of my broken bags are stored away. That means pinging the DM channel, waiting for a reply, breaking off whatever RP I'm in to rush all the way home, empty out the bag of whatever's in it, then get it swapped out.

So far, having tried to do this a few times, I've only gotten I think two responses, and both times, by the time the DM responded, I've been in RP that I couldn't just back out of instantly.

If there's a more efficient way of handling this, I'd love to know.
