Writs reset in 35 years

Post by TheEssence »

Hello, after the reset my -date reads:

New writs can be accepted in 312015 hours, 16 minutes, 54 seconds.

That would be about 35 years :o

Wonder if we'll still being playing Arelith then

Adora Ashallin - Back to mainland (Rolled)
Farnese Vannucci - Left the island (Rolled)
Akari Steelcold - Back to Kozakura (Rolled)
Elderith Ashalley - Serving in Celestia (Rolled)

By the way I was immediately able to accept a writ. Seems to have resetted as soon as I got that new one.
Maybe just a glitch on the reported cooldown (Sounds like a number that went negative represented without the sign bit).

Cheer! Not sure I'd be able to complete my writs as an old man.... :P

Actually this whole time thing...

While we've been focusing on HAK updates, Silvard has literally been avoiding Arelith doomsday for us, as we were about to hit our epoch limit.

Its hard to explain, but basically time would have stopped working on Arelith, and everything that requires a timestamp (houses, shops, MANY, MANY scripted features) would have imploded.

In effect, Arelith would have died.

There are not many developers able to fix this, and we're lucky to have him. It is these developers, both currently and in the past that do so much behind the scenes to keep us up and running, without being seen, that are so deserving of praise. Silvard, Morderon, Mithreas, Liareth, Dunshine. Superheroes every one.

We wouldn't have the luxury of discussing the virtue of facelifts and haks if it weren't for Silvard doing this.

Also, there is another update to hopefully fix some of this awaiting the next reset, but due to a DM event it is being delayed for the time being.

Given his work on -disguise he also needs the Trickery and Deceit aspect... ;-)
