Arcane Defense

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:

  • implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
  • the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
  • the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
    Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to fix everything.

In base NWN these were decent, if not amazing feats, but their usefulness has spiralled downwards relative to Spell Focus feats due to the buffs affecting the latter. So I suggesting giving some flavour to them too to spice up the field. For example;

Enchantment: half duration to hold and dominate effects active on you.
Divination: bonus to either resisting or detecting scrying.
Transmutation: immunity to Flesh to Stone.
Conjuration: see the location (area name) of someone attempting to -yoink you.
Abjuration: already has a bonus, in +2 to resist dispel checks.
Necromancy: summoned undead gain a small bonus to turn resistance.
Illusion: reduce the effects of concealment miss chance by 10% or so.
Evocation: 5% Damage Reduction to all elemental damage types
