It used to be that if you put [ ] or even * * around what you were saying (for emotes and such) It would translate into common. This was firstly a good way of indicating when you were saying a Name that wouldn't translate into elven/xanalrass/dwarven/whatever and also a very good way of translating what you were saying on the fly - a great and more entertaining way of learning a language.
With the new *speaks gibberish* tihs is no longer the case. I have no issue with the *speaks gibberish* change, but can it be altered so that brackets once more work to translate a language? Likewise asterisks, so we can emote shortly after, or whilst, saying something.
EDIT: Ah, on second realization - it only doesn't work if you -fail- a translation check. So this is not half a problem as I had thought. Never mind!
Still - I suppose sometihng to consider?
