Feylock Spells not Triggering Will Save

Not sure if this is a bug or a known and intended thing but I just started playing a Feylock and I noticed that, after a while, my spells no longer trigger saves against enemies and instead just trigger the range touch attack for eldritch damage.

I noticed this specifically with sleep, but once it happens, flare also does not trigger the spell save.

So basically, spells work like normal (enemies trigger will save for sleep) for a little while (not long, I cannot get through the new granary before it fails) and then suddenly no will save and just range touch attack.

Sleep only affects lower level HD monster then yourself. maybe you are fighting monsters 1 or 2 levels above yourself which would not trigger a will save

This is true but.... I doubt the rats in the Skal granary have more than 5 HD. In addition, it was happening with Flare as well. I will look and see if it happens again and I can point to something.
