Derro mines pit trap

In the Derro mines, this is a pit trap that drops you into a square chamber in Fungal Maze.

There is no way out. I wandered around in Detect Mode for 50+ minutes. Eventually 2 others were down there with me who were roguish types with decent spot/search.

Couldn't find anything either in 20+ minutes.

There is a check involved, but the DCs are pretty low. In fact, there is a range of DCs. There has only been 1 other report of difficulty, and that turned out to not be because of the area.

I am not sure what you mean by "decent spot/search". That is a subjective term that i can not put a number on.

The dungeon was recently updated by another dev. I don't know if that area was touched. I will investigate.

Please let us know if the problem persists for other PCs.

Also, the pit trap is completely avoidable.

I was one of the other characters down there. Presuming the DCs don't scale with level, I should have found the exit trapdoors - I found them 5 levels earlier (3 of them in fact) with no problem at all.

I fell in the pit due to rubber-banding because of the dreaded lag beast.

Ive also found myself in that room, was there for almost an hour walking about searching before a DM was forced to pull me out.
