This is something I noticed a very long time ago, but forgot to report once I verified it.
When you create a new faction, their bank account is zero. As is appropriate.
However at some point the balance will drop to -1000, as though a loan was taken. This has happened multiple times when I was the only member of the faction. So I know that nothing was withdrawn from the account.
My only hypothesis is that this happens on a reset after the faction has been created.

Also had this happen to a faction I created. I noticed it two days ago and was puzzled by it.

It costs 1,000 gold to create a faction. The amount is deducted from the faction bank account.
