A number of non-undead creatures are using undead spell AI

I just noticed this with the Xvart Witch Doctor, but I know it also applies to the guard aboard the Liberator:

They're using undead spell AI. Namely, using inflict wounds/harm to heal themselves. Which does not in fact heal them, it usually makes them commit suicide in a funny way.

Egos Ironhide - Shelved

This is a known bug and core to the game. I don't think there is a solution. See:
