Soft Launching Class/Weapon Changes

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:

  • implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
  • the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
  • the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
    Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to fix everything.

Upload all changes to the PGCC and announce the changes before they're introduced to the main server. This way we can test the changes before they have any impact on the story on Arelith, avoid plenty of re-level requests, and overall have a better polish before they're pushed live. If anyone's found to be exploiting any changes, those changes can be cleared of exploits before they're pushed live and prevent reports/possible wrongful punishment as well. It is my belief that this will lessen the stress on the team.

We simply don't have the staff to roll out every change on the PGCC, for larger updates we often need a number of developers available, and it is hard enough to find the time to get them onto the live module. As frustrating as it might be, the amateur nature of Arelith requires that from time to time the live server is used as a testing environment.
