On Hit: Wounding

Post by Apothys »

This ability on a weapon doesn't always work. It seems like some creatures are immune to this, maybe through damage reduction?

Is this working as intended? The ability itself is a bit rubbish so when they fail the save and i see a bunch of '0' damages popping up its a bit demoralising.

That's a vanilla NWN thing. Wounding is treated as physical damage from a weapon without enhancement bonus, so even 1/+1 DR completely negates the effect.

Personally, I think this should be changed to 1 Magical damage. That way, the damage would properly apply for most targets.

There's two kinds of "on hit" wounding and the monster one does bypass DR.

Who is the audience for this post?
