Idea: Dragon Knight/Mummy dust different modes

So I was thinking about getting dragon knight in game and I'm probably going to get it because it's my first character and I wanted to learn before attempting to optimize anyway. But I was taking a look in the forum search and I think the thread about the recent changes caught my eye. Some people were saying that they wouldn't take the feat anymore with it being a large summon in PvE and it's burst summon nature.

So anyway, my idea is to make it have a different mode. Say a weaker smaller dragon but for longer duration, or something of that nature so it's not ONLY burst spell option.
Another idea I had for burst summon options was to have a cooldown for them. Maybe you can change the dragon or celestial back into an elemental so they people don't have to waste another summon 9 spell.

It probably won't happen, but I was thinking of throwing the ideas out there.

Dragon Knight is pretty bad, yes.
It's really not much better than Gate for being more spell components and 1 Use, and Gate is pretty much worse than Any Level 10 Elemental.

Particuarly since we lost our conjuration focus benefits.

Gate worse then an elemental... hahahahahahahaha, what you been smoking i want some? Gate is far superior to any elemental even with the mechanical changes. A fully maxed out Gear Golem, or White Slaad will absolutely wreck just about anything without taking a scratch. Elementals are nice don't get me wrong but they are nothing compared to Gate.

This would suggest a huge power gap between the mentioned summons and the traditional Astral Deva/Balor.
