Summon shadow, go into stealth with it, or enter combat where it goes into stealth itself.

Expected result
-----------------------

Another issue alongside this one is the shadows AI is very buggy.
It only switches to be beside you and triggers -guard when you -hit- something.
If you're fighting a high AC opponent and roll badly on a fully, it tends to go into stealth mode and sneak off to attack a distant target, causing everyone else to switch back to you.

Additionally, the shadow has zero hitboxes. It can walk through you, and any NPC, further enabling the above behaviour.

Lastly, if you're riding a mount and summon a shadow, the shadow you get is a shadow, and then a floating horse above the shadows head.

Temporarily back to Arelith and currently 'Hanna'.

Also forgot to mention, if your summon shadow ability is on CD when you server transition it never resets after the 3 minutes and only a rest will refresh it.

This is also true for logging off or crashing while it's summoned. The cooldown reset only triggers on unsummon or death.

The name change thing is also true for Totem Druid summons. If you stealth you end up wandering around with a raven that identifies as a Dire Bear. (Or Wolf as Dire Spider, Rat as Dire Boar etc.)

This ain't a bug, this is a feature.

Adding on top of that. The size of the shadow needs to be adjusted according to the character size. For example a wild dwarf’s shadow has the size of a normal dwarf and is up to 10% larger.

Rolled characters:
William Bones; Durk Rotgrun; Hector Bartholomew; Rali Runehammer; Daris Blake; Nathaniel Silvers; Mordarok; Guy Silvers; Shayleth Shadowblood

Forgot another thing.
Shadows will try attack a friendly mage if that friendly mage uses an aoe spell like Wall of Fire, or even sometimes IGMS

Sometimes I do not get sneak attacks. I can't recreate it and it's rare.

Also, I 'never' get sneak attacks on enemies while they are casting spells.

Transitioning/Crashing with the shadow out or before the CD resets results in no shadow until rest, which can be adventure ending and incredibly frustrating. Maybe adding more charges (3?) or something will help mitigate this.

My shadow will at random times just stand around and not attack, but I still get -guard and sneaks, so it isn't that big of a deal. Other times I will randomly not be guarded and die in seconds. I can't recreate this and it is very rare, but over the course of a few days it will happen at least once or twice.

This one isn't a bug, but should probably be looked into: The shadow has abysmal hide/MS. Everything spots/hears it all the time. It's absolutely garbage at stealth. I think it should match the SDs hide/ms or at least get +1 hide/ms for each SD level or something along those lines, just so that it can actually stealth.

I second both of the above posts and have had all mentioned things happen frequently.

While immune against Word of Faith and other anti-summon spells, Epic Shadowlords can be removed by targeting the SD with dispels.
I don't think that intended behavior.

This is a common problem with ALL summons. Wall of Fire is interpreted as a hostile spell by AI.
It is also possible to get murdered by your own familiar, as when it walks thorugh some of the AOE spells, it gets angry at the caster, even if the caster is its own master.

Guard issue aside, the best way is to manually control any summon you have through associate tool. Doesn't fix all wackiness, but at least you'll be able to direct it to specific targets.
Another forum ban, here we go again.
