Can gnolls ride horses?

Is this one of those philosophical questions with no answers like "can a tree fall in the forest...?"

Most of the alternative models such as goblins and gnolls cannot ride horses. Only human, elf, dwarven, half-orc and gnome type body models (see also drow, duergar, svirf, orog).
Having wings doesn't restrict PCs from riding, but having a tail might as I've seen the error message appear before. Although if it behaves like the wings it should just disappear.

I hoped the skeleton was compatible. They seem to be able to use human-like animation, after all. Oh well.
