Re: Falchion not considered "slashing" by "keen edge" spell
Update on the topic of keen edge spell (and bump :p ):
the 3rd upgraded version on the wiki states 2d6 massive criticals, while in fact it does 2d4; I believe the wiki is right because the previous version of massive critical is 1d8, i doubt the intended upgrade would be +1 min damage.
for the record on the wiki:
Keen Edge: Duration reduced to 2 minutes per level. Also:
At CL 6 or less, the spell adds +1 AB, Keen, and 1d4 Massive Criticals.
At CL 7-11, the spell adds +2 AB, Keen, and 1d8 Massive Criticals.
At CL 12-17, the spell adds +3 AB, Keen, and 2d6 Massive Criticals.
At CL 18+, the spell adds +4 AB, Keen, and 2d8 Massive Criticals.
Cheers.

The same thing applies to other spells like Blade Thirst, and it's not limited to falchions. I've heard naginatas and possibly other newly added weapons have a similar issue.

Try using the spell on the falchion while it's in your inventory. I know GMW trips out even on regular weapons when you use it as it's equipped. Possibly it's the spell itself.

Good character: just did, nope, it's the item itself that doesn't work with "slashing spells"

Re: Falchion not considered "slashing" by "keen edge" spell
Hey guys,
Sorry to bring that up again. It's just that I have this (main)character which i build to become a falchion weapon master. But not being able to use the keen spell on the falchion is a deal breaker for that character, so now i'm considering going bastard sword instead. So I'm stuck at the first weapon master level not knowing what to pick as a favored weapon.
I guess this is more a question to the devs: i know that's a very marginal/low prio issue, i would just like to know if you guys have any plan to step in soon to fix the new weapons in regards to their "slashing" component (naginata too etc), or if that's unfortunately not on the menu? No problem either way, but just sharing that would help me take that decision hehe
Thanks a lot!
