Skull on a stick
Skull poles and impaled monster heads require 20 skill points on carpentry to craft. In comparison, it's easier to make a wardrobe or an armoire (15 DC) than it is to literally put a skull on a wooden stick. Sometimes edgelords like me need skulls to decorate their homes, and it would be great to do that without needing to scour the land for a skilled carpenter in order to do something so simple such as putting skulls on a pike. Barrels have a 5 DC, why not skull poles and impaled monster heads too?

Just lure a bunch of players into your home and corpsebash them.

Re: Skull on a stick
As a carpenter I have to scour the land for a blacksmith to make a masterly damask weapon or an alchemist to make the hardening finish, emulsified oils, etc. to make the few good weapons you can actually craft using carpentry. That's just how it goes. Also the skulls on sticks have been used in the past to metagame/god-mode by claiming they are the heads of characters who never even died in PVP. Making this fixture easier to craft would probably open the door for more people to do this and create more work for the DM team. If anything I'd like to see the fixture removed. I seen it used as intended (a giant's head on a pike, not a player character's, WYSIWYG) maybe once.

Well, that makes sense, masterly damask weapons and the alchemist crafts you mentioned are very complicated. Meanwhile a skull on a stick is just, you know, something far more simple, that's why I think their DC should be 5, like barrels.NPC Logger Number 2 wrote: Fri Apr 10, 2020 12:26 pm As a carpenter I have to scour the land for a blacksmith to make a masterly damask weapon or an alchemist to make the hardening finish, emulsified oils, etc. to make the few good weapons you can actually craft using carpentry. I also agree with you about the character head on a stick thing (I think character heads from corpsebashing should be removed too, but that's a completely different topic), it's honestly in poor taste imo, but isn't it better to report them for misuse instead of straight out removing those fixtures? Also, Brogendenstein is a good example of how to do it. With a quick look around the settlement, and the little fortress north of it, you'll see several impaled heads of monsters and other things, with a description telling a little story about it.
