Add the Moss Covered Menhir Back
I spent some time gathering materials and trying to craft the menhir today, only to see that I couldn't find. After asking around and then searching in the official discord, I have learned that it was removed due to being abused to make a wall on Skal. It is rather upsetting that it was removed entirely with no announcement made. It had a very nice aesthetic and has been a favorite altar to use for a lot of us. I myself have also lost a menhir due to area changes that were made and I only found out about this because I was just now trying to replace it. I request that it please be added back to the craftable list. I am sure I am not the only one who would like to see it return.

Seconded, The Menhirs are one of the only Druidic/Natural looking Altars and Fixtures around, That fit in outdoor zones well.
I and others have used them a lot, because they fit so well in / next to cliffs, Though their model is huge, If we cant have it back for the above abused reasons, Could we have one that's shrunken down? or other natural-looking altars and fixtures to replace it?

^ Exactly! The menhirs were great because they were an altar that blended in with the scenery and appeared very natural. Even the tribal altar, which can be used for a nature theme, still looks much more man-made and disturbed, it doesn't fit the aesthetic of having an altar made from nature itself. The menhir you could set it up so that it just looked like a consecrated rock, or you could make it look like part of a cliff. It's so much fun to use.Mythic wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2020 1:16 pm I and others have used them a lot, because they fit so well in / next to cliffs.

this is what the 3rd-4th plc removed because the skal ppl keep making giant plcs walls out the west edge of the map off Skaljard - the east portion of that first zone leading to the tin mines? we all know exactly where the wall keeps going up, it's an IC cultural expectation on skal now that "The west wall" is maintained. every time you remove a plc they just use a new one. give out temp bans or fix the area or somethin. or add an extra npc to guard to kill hostile mobs that roam that way and follow people into the town and kill the villager NPCs, cuz thats why they keep putting the wall there. solve the problem not the symptom.
(or hell, change the area and actually add the wall in as permanent! mold the world due to player actions!)

I also agree with this. Removing everything that anyone uses to exploit is a fast-track to an empty game. The Menhirs were very cool, and really the only suitable choice for druid altars, on top of that, since everything else is obviously pieces of nature broken and conformed to human desires, only the menhir was left in its natural state. Which is presumably why the team used it for so many druidic special sites. It's very sad to hear its gone.

Pity they’re gone as we monsters loved to use them as cave paintings.

Agree with this, just lower the fixture limits of outdoor areas like that where people keep "building" stuff.TimeAdept wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2020 1:54 pm this is what the 3rd-4th plc removed because the skal ppl keep making giant plcs walls out the west edge of the map off Skaljard - the east portion of that first zone leading to the tin mines? we all know exactly where the wall keeps going up, it's an IC cultural expectation on skal now that "The west wall" is maintained. every time you remove a plc they just use a new one. give out temp bans or fix the area or somethin. or add an extra npc to guard to kill hostile mobs that roam that way and follow people into the town and kill the villager NPCs, cuz thats why they keep putting the wall there. solve the problem not the symptom.

Alternatives may be coming, but much like rugs and cloth stall overhangs. It's been removed for a reason.
