Gate + Greater Sanctuary
About half an hour ago my group and I were fighting the boss of the Orc Citadel in Sibayad.
I already had a deva out (gate spell) and then I cast greater sanctuary and my deva was not unsummoned. She kept fighting until about the time she would have normally unsummoned herself (spell duration).
Sort of wish it wasn't a bug, but going by the update announcements I thought I should report it.

Hrm, half the battles in the million GP tournament featured teams that summoned EDKs/gates/mummies too...

Re: Gate + Greater Sanctuary
So you're telling me that half the battles had a spellcaster on one team? Wow.
Re: Gate + Greater Sanctuary
Mummies shouldn't be affected, but Gate and EDK should, according to the wiki and announcements.
Re: Gate + Greater Sanctuary
Protection Domain: Divine Protection is completely different from Greater Sanctuary. Person who were summoning EDK / Mummies were not using Greater Sanctuary in the million GP tournament.Might-N-Magic wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 12:25 pm Hrm, half the battles in the million GP tournament featured teams that summoned EDKs/gates/mummies too...
Edited for grammar to make it worse, probably.
Re: Gate + Greater Sanctuary
According to the updates, G-sanc should definitely be affected by EMD, EDK and Gate and vice versa.

Aren is correct. The update affects basically all summons. This isn't a bug.
Re: Gate + Greater Sanctuary
I don't see EMD on the list of spells affected, but okay.Aren wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 7:49 pm According to the updates, G-sanc should definitely be affected by EMD, EDK and Gate and vice versa.

I do not have protection domain. I am able to cast gate and greater sanctuary at the same time.
"Casting Greater Sanctuary will unsummon any Gate/EDK/BBoD spells currently cast. Casting any of these spells while under the effect of Greater Sanctuary will remove Greater Sanctuary."
Re: Gate + Greater Sanctuary
Yes, I see now in my drunken stupor that I could have been more clear. If you can cast any of the high level summoning spells, EMD, EDK, Gate while Gsanc'd or use Gsanc after summoning them without them unsummoning, it is unintentional and a bug.Hazard wrote: Sat May 09, 2020 2:47 amI don't see EMD on the list of spells affected, but okay.Aren wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 7:49 pm According to the updates, G-sanc should definitely be affected by EMD, EDK and Gate and vice versa.

Irongron from the updates thread: "Greater Sanctuary - Will unsummon any gate/EDK/BBoD spells currently cast ; Also, cannot cast these spells when in GS + Mummy dust (Edit: I missed a note, this was changed to "the summon happens but it breaks GS", but I didn't push that part of the code live, and as such will wait until tomorrow)."
