Re: Thieves Cant
Truthfully the best use of thieves cant were codes within the language script. Certain words or phrases meant something else and unless you were aware of the local thief slang, you'd be lost. Truthfully I hate thieves cant as overall the language outputs are obnoxiously obvious.
Re: Thieves Cant
Since its being removed, perhaps you could Pop in Druidic in its place?
I mean, as a Class specific language that is kinda the obvious go to language. Every Druid knows it. Only Druids know it. Teaching anyone else is forbidden, so there is no issue with people of other builds that should know it but don't, or do know it but shouldn't.
No Animal language is not the same, and not just because a handful of races get it along with Feylocks (Which, you know, probably should be Sylvan). Animals don't even HAVE language in that sense.

Re: Thieves Cant
It's very time consuming to add languages. Sure it would be nice to have gnoll language, sylvan, drudic, etc, but this is what we have now.
Katernin Bersk, Chancellor of Divination; Kerri Amblecrown, Paladin of Milil; Xull'kacha Auvry'rae, Redcap Fey-pacted; Sadia yr Thuravya el Bhirax, Priestess of Umberlee; Lissa Whitehorn, Archmage of Artifice
