Bashed bodies
Hi all!
Given that a 'bashed' body is able to be beheaded and beaten to the point of no return, should it really be identifiable to anyone? It seems like quite a OOC thing to reveal without any good reason that I can see behind it.
Alternatively, could we just make the remains destructible too?

Re: Bashed bodies
I would think of disguise like wearing a mask. If Batman gets knocked unconscious or shot dead anyone can just walk up and take off the mask. Of course it gets a little bit weird if Batman is completely melted in a vat of acid and someone looks at the bones left behind then goes, "Hey, that's Bruce Wayne!"

I'm not referring to disguises.. I just mean the corpse is identifiable with a name floating over it, indicating others might recognise them now/in the future from the body. Given it's bashed beyond salvage this seems a little beyond reasonable belief.

I see your point, it might be more realistic to just name it as "Beheaded Corpse" or "Remains." Of course a corpse should still be identifiable before getting bashed to prevent metagaming with disguises. And the head should be identifiable too. Otherwise -disguise would be too easily abused to avoid consequences imo. For non-dedicated-spotters looking at the remains is often the only way to figure out who "Black Armored Figure" or "Sneaky Hin" really is.

I totally agree should be able to identify a corpse before mutilation.NPC Logger Number 2 wrote: Thu Jun 04, 2020 1:54 pm I see your point, it might be more realistic to just name it as "Beheaded Corpse" or "Remains." Re: Bashed bodies
You can use a body to be identification. But the issue this presents is that the player can revive and the body then disappears. As is the DM ruling on 'can I use remains as a way to identify people in character', yes you can.
Re: Bashed bodies
Fair enough.. Could they be easier to remove though - I believe the bones are still indestructible for some reason.

But but... I wanna leave bashed corpses by the hub portal where everyone can see them.
