Seeming Race Change in Server Transition

I will preface this by saying I am a shield dwarf cleric of Haela Brightaxe

In the past couple nights, it seems to be that the game recognizes me as another race when I would do a zone transition. It started first after I did the courier writ from brogendenstein to cordor, when I went back and did -pray I was told I was no longer serving a god, that god being Haela Brightaxe. The next day I hit 21 and so equipped my rune axe, and then that night (last night) again did the courier writ, and when I reached cordor and went through the server transition I was unable to equip my rune axe and was told I need UMD 30. When I went back to surface and planes it was again no longer a problem, but later in the evening I noticed I was no longer serving Haela Brightaxe.

Later that evening I again went on to test it, and when I went from S&P to cordor I still had my devotion to Haela Brightaxe and could equip my runeaxe, but when I went back to S&P I again had lost my devotion to Haela Brightaxe.

All I can guess as to what is happening is during server transition there is a chance the game will recognize you as being another race, be it momentarily or for an extended period. I don't often need to go to other servers but when I transitioned to the UD from S&P last night I hadn't yet lost my devotion to Haela as I used -pray later then if memory serves, but when I went to Cordor or from Cordor it seems to be that I "Lose" my race. However, I can't say that is certain as it could be general server transitions. For now however, based on what I have done it appears to indeed only be with Cordor
