Two part suggestion:
Part One: Create more food ration/provision recipes. Right now those rping as chef types must always gather meat/fish and salt regardless if they are making sweet pasties or a stew. Maybe have some rations that are only made from fruits/berries/nuts.
Part Two: Give trinket vendors empty steins and wine bottles so that characters that don't plan to use recycled/thrown out can still make their own drinks without having to dig through the trash.
