Settlement Storages - Locked Items
With having an exiled character that had stuff trusted from the other players or with sentimental IC history for the faction you're running, its really hard to recover them if the other side is completely unwilling to let you pick them up and leave if you're exiled and they stay there stuck, which can last for a long while.
While this might sound like a suggestion than feedback, I know there has been players in similar situation and I wonder if there is something which would allow players to recover the lost items behind "exile lock" or come up with system that they would be moved to the next settlement storage if you change citizenship, like return for small fee?

I honestly think this is something that should be resolved IC. Like, at least your stuff is there and recoverable in RP, if it were in a quarter you could've been evicted and had your stuff taken.

Re: Settlement Storages - Locked Items
The plus side is that exile is costing them resources and those items are perfectly safe.
Unfortunately it does seem like a thing to resolve IC, because it's all stuff that makes sense.
I agree it would be really nice if there was some way for all characters to play around with the exile system, and not just characters that are good at disguises. Disguises are 'one' way of deceiving a person. Stealth. Persuasion. Invisibility. These could all come into play to varying degrees when dealing with NPCs, I think.
What seems like a better plan in your head, for wanting to get past a bunch of town guards? Putting on a disguise and trying to access SOMEONE ELSES storage? (remember, you are disguised as NOT that person) ... Or becoming invisible/sneaking in and getting to your own bank account... Or persuading the guards to just let you for a while?
Persuade seems utterly useless atm, would be nice if it did something.

Re: Settlement Storages - Locked Items
Honestly I feel exile is limited enough (with limited numbers of exiles available and an exile cost) and also bluff/perform is available enough that I don't think we need to change here.
Try and see if you can get your items back through rp, if not be patient and eventually your exile will likely end and you can get your items back that way.
if neither of these things are likely then well - so it goes.

This too shall pass.
(I now have a DM Discord (I hope) It's DM GrumpyCat#7185 but please keep in mind I'm very busy IRL so I can't promise how quick I'll get back to you.)

10 extra gp on top of your 800gp award for that dragon head isn't enough to justify your 40 persuade?Hazard wrote: Thu Aug 27, 2020 7:40 amPersuade seems utterly useless atm, would be nice if it did something.
So ungrateful!

Re: Settlement Storages - Locked Items
IG events aside it would be pretty cool if the settlement storage transferred depending where you were signed up.
Having been in all three districts in the UD it would be pretty annoying to have to become a citizen to get your stuff, then have to wait a full month just to go back to citizen where you actually want to be.
Probably a super low priority though.

So we're very much on track.
Re: Settlement Storages - Locked Items
This sounds like a great opportunity for RP. Negotiate through someone else. Sneak in. Foment a political uprising to put a more favourable person in charge. Pay your friends to buy up the settlements resources and make keeping your exile on difficult. All good options!
Re: Settlement Storages - Locked Items
I'm fairly sure you can retrieve stuff from places you aren't a citizen any more, it just won't let you save extra stuff.Skibbles wrote: Fri Aug 28, 2020 6:08 am IG events aside it would be pretty cool if the settlement storage transferred depending where you were signed up.

Oh ... I will have to check. Admittedly it's been quite a while since I thought about it and I can't recall if I checked the storage or not.Kuma wrote: Sat Aug 29, 2020 4:27 amI'm fairly sure you can retrieve stuff from places you aren't a citizen any more, it just won't let you save extra stuff.Skibbles wrote: Fri Aug 28, 2020 6:08 am IG events aside it would be pretty cool if the settlement storage transferred depending where you were signed up.
