To all my friends and family here on Arelith, I wish to say a very heart-felt thank you to you all. To the Dev staff Mith, LW, and Artos I wish to say an enormous thank you for all of the countless hours of dedication and hard work you all put in so as to bring to life this amazing world which we all have come to love so much. Without your contributions over the years, none of this would have been possible. Thank you.
To my fellow players and friends, we thank you for your patience and willingness to assist. The events of this past week really put a spotlight onto the generosity and kindness of the majority of our server family here. It is refreshing to see. I suppose all too often the angsty and the negative make the most noise, while the silent majority of the good folks out there just ignore or chose not to participate in the negativity. As for me, I refuse to participate in negativity or angsty, juvenile, destructive chatter. I challenge each one of us to do the same. It's been said for years online not to 'Feed Trolls' and this statement begs revisiting ten-fold for our close-knit community.
Over the past few days I've had the unique pleasure of meeting and speaking with many members of our community while our standard means of communication was down. We took to outside tools such as Facebook and Skype in order to advance information to the server population, as well as gather information and address concerns/squash rumors. For those who allowed El Guapo to crash your little chat channel worlds, albeit briefly, I thank you for your time and your input. Thank you all who have sent us emails and PM's this week helping the staff address issues and concerns for you.
In closing, let us reflect upon the events of this past week as the moment our community became even closer, even more of a family. Let us use this time as a benchmark moment where we can look back and see how both positive and negative words and deeds effect the larger community. But most important of all, let us remember that our words and our actions have -real- impact. REAL consequences towards REAL people. Let us endeavor to be all the more kind in our interactions together. Let us endeavor to build one another up and to build our community up so that we may continue to enjoy this fantastic environment for years to come.
I thank you all.

We generally don't look fondly on rules lawyers.
Our rules are simple for a reason - to make the guiding principles behind them clear. We enforce the principles, not simply the literal wording.
