I'd like to see a mandatory rule put in place that requires players to leave RP behind in the form of notes or other fixtures after a theft from storage or the destruction/theft of a fixture takes place.
Coming home to find certain things missing or your fixtures gone or bashed with absolutely nothing to go on is frustrating. Finding Diviners to assist is not easy and far from foolproof. If a theft or destruction takes place, there must have been a reason for it through roleplay. Which means that roleplay should be left behind to offer clues as to who did it and why. Otherwise it devolves into a simple act of grief.
As an extension of the Be Nice rule, it would be appropriate to add a requirement for this type of RP to make such thefts of destructions actually engaging, rather than leaving nothing behind but the need to repair or regain what was lost.

Re: Rules for Stealing, Fixture Destruction
This would be very difficult to enforce. Further more, whilst I see it for lovingly described fixtures, there's also fixtures that are just well blank items that take up space. Campsites and stuff. Not every fixture is a lovingly described artefact.
Further more some fixtures are destroyed accidentally, or by weather area effects such as storms.
Of course if someone is going back to the same area again and again to destroy fixtures, you should report it. And if you (the reader) are going to be bashing fixtures, which you have a reason to believe a pc may care about - I would VERY strongly recommend trying to leave clues/make rp out of it, but the vareity of situations and items within this happens means that I don't think it's fair to demand it for every fixture.

This too shall pass.
