When blinded everything goes dark as expected, but you can't target enemies to keep fighting back.
Steps to reproduce the Bug:
Get blinded by blindness deafness from Xvarts
Expected Result:
Blind and Deaf but can keep fighting back
Actual Result:
Screen turns black, enemies names hover for a moment then disapear leaving you defenseless.

It occurred the same way while I didn't have the blind fighting feat and after I had taken it.
