Introduce a mechanic to allow spontaneous casters to alter their spellbook without having to relevel.
Especially with less experienced players, it happens that sometimes you pick a spell you thought you'd use, but you don't. Sometimes your RP changes, or the Devs update a spell, and you realize you'd like to try something else. If you're still leveling, you may be able to change your spellbook selections, but if you're already level 30, or you're past your caster levels on a multiclass build, it's too late.
Limitations should be put in place so that sorcerers don't end up with the same adaptability as wizards. It definitely shouldn't be a regular on rest thing, but rather a gradual means of adjusting to suit a developing character.
