Defensive Stance

Post by Kalos »

So I just releveled my char after update (I had only reached my first Defender level), 7 FTR/1 Defender so it is my 1st time ever using defensive stance and I was wondering if this was working as intended or a bug:

When fighting ghouls in the Darrowdeep Burrow, when I get it with their ranged negative attack/spell it removes my defensive stance bonuses. So I have to click to leave stance, wait for cooldown, and then reactivate. Are spell attacks going to always remove my bonuses? My movement speed did not change back to normal however when I lost my stance bonuses. And I can only gain my speed back by waiting for defensive stance, reactivating, and then deactiviting.

**EDIT** Same thing happened in sewers. a random attack took away my bonuses, but again I remain on very slow speed.

**EDIT** Same thing when I triggered a trap.

**EDIT** Kobold shaman magic missile took it out

**EDIT** Physical damage takes it away sometimes as well

In all cases bonuses go away but very slow speed remains, but you are still technically in defensive stance.

Thank you.

Confirmed! Same happened in PGCC.

Also: the life regen doesn't work either from what I saw in PGCC (improved version at least).

Yup. Currently Defensive Stance is useless in combat. 1st or 2nd hit removes all benefits but you remain slow. You can't "unslow" until canceling Defensive Stance, Wait for cooldown, the re-enter defensive stance, then cancel it again...

Hello, I'm sorry for the issues with defensive stance.

Is it still happening? I submitted an update that should have this fixed a few days ago.
