Off-Combat Rolls for Buffs

We will file suggestions here that did not make the cut. Don't expect detailed responses, but the most common reasons are:

  • implementing the suggestion is impractical, or too much work for the gain
  • the suggestion is thematically against our design philosophy
  • the suggestion is too detailed/low-level
    Keep your suggestions broad and focused on RP benefits, please, not detailed suggestions of how to fix everything.

So, basically, give off-combat buffs a natural 20 if the caster isn't busy.
Which would mean always getting the highest available roll from them.

An example would be casting say, Bull's Strength out of combat: Instead of having to cast it repeatedly attempting to get a 5, you'd get that automatically, if your character isn't busy.

While I imagine weave masters and warlocks wouldn't necessarily need such a change, I can see how non-infini casters would possibly enjoy casting those spells much more, with such a change.

**Possibly, to spice things up a bit, and get more not-so-common spell focuses in game, make the natural 20 require a spell focus on the school.
