DMs via (Guldorand Ruling Council) made it clear that established Guldorandcitizen's get priority on and first right to Guldorand housing. This is a perfectly reasonable rule to establish.
However in the future if this course is taken again, please let those with priority have an exclusive open house to pick up properties ahead of general reveal. Those of us who wanted to set up in the city, waited for hours for the opening, got in and got a house then had a prior Guldorand citizen select the same one so we are out of a house and hour later just get a bitter feeling about the whole thing. I looked at 5 houses all available and choose the one I liked, by the time someone from Guldorand said they wanted that one, every other house in the city was already gone. So I lose my house, and have no option to choose another.
Again, perfectly reasonable to let Guldorand as the faction that drove the new city have first dibs, but how the is implemented in the future should be considered.

Re: Guldorand: Reserved/Priority Housing
Incorrect, there is no established preferred housing. Evictions based on this premise will be overturned and should be reported. It's clear this was a miscommunication at some stage.
Re: Guldorand: Reserved/Priority Housing
I can't recall ever reading this? I'd be incredibly disturbed if it was true, too. No one is owed anything in advance.
Also, Irongron said he did 95% of the slog, so no one in game has driven anything other than their own fun/story. They didn't put the -actual- hours into building the new city.. it was playing the game.

Re: Guldorand: Reserved/Priority Housing
Absolutely not, and I find the whole tone here really quite offensive. Nobody has priority, and the Guldorand 'faction' did not 'drive the creation of the new city' that would be me, and it was for everyone. I'm genuinely seriously disheartened to read this so soon after launch, coming from a settlement that was just given so very, very much, more than any other settlement has ever been given. A giant state building government guildhouse not enough? Not the Garrison House either, or control over the recently updated Axehold? How about that Galleon?BobTheSkull wrote: Fri Feb 12, 2021 4:54 pm

Entitlement is a word often thrown around on this server, but I have rarely seen it so pronounced as it is in the above post.
Re: Guldorand: Reserved/Priority Housing
Okay, the original post was edited, but seems I got the wrong end of the stick here. My apologies to the OP. I'm going to blame the lack of sleep on my reading this incorrectly. Absolutely I don't don't condone being immediately evicted by those claiming priority, I read this as their saying they should have priority, not that they were evicted by those claiming it.
For the record, even people on the team aren't allowed first dibs on any content, not even myself. I get that settlements have eviction powers, and want to control who lives where, but to be clear, again, they already have so much. Moving people on from the new city as soon as it opens is the opposite of what I wish to see here.
