Description
==========
Original post: Over the last few days I've noticed a number of values for -fate that are broken. These aren't the ones in the list that are intentionally removed to avoid gold/gem/wish exploits. Most recently, -fate 96 wasn't working, the volcano surge. The symbolic mainstay of wild mages in Arelith. I tried it several times in a row, with different spells as the trigger, and it wouldn't even say a message that the surge fired off (often when -fate is finnicky it's more receptive to specific spells, but will at least give a system message of the intended surge even when it vanishes on cast).
Edited: Some of the new bard songs are making ALLIED wild mages to the singing bard unable to use surges. Though it's possible that "Strings of The Weave" was intended to do this, there is nothing in the description of "Waltz of the Magical Masquerade" that indicates the same. Will also note that both songs will only do this to a wild mage that is not set to hostile, so it's essentially debuffing one's allies, or neutral parties.
Steps to reproduce
----------------------------
Have a partied or neutral bard use the song "Waltz of the Magical Masquerade" on your character while using a level 28 or higher wild mage, type -fate 96. A moment later: cast a spell.
Expected result
-----------------------
So long as you are in an out door area, or a natural cavern, a mini-volcano should appear and spew fire all over the place. Even if NOT in one of those areas, it will at least give a system message and then say "surge vanished."
Actual result
-------------------
Nothing happens. No surge at all. The next spell has no surge occur, same for the one after that. No message in the system window about the surge appearing and failing, just...nothing.
Screenshot(s)
--------------------
Redacted to hide PC names and stat numbers. Leaving system messages for -fate and casting.

Notes
---------
Original Post: This isn't the first surge I've seen do this recently. I think there might be something broken in the -fate code recently for a number of the surges because even failed surges usually have a message in the system window, and some sort of poof of smoke animation when they fizzle. These are just...nothing.
