I was AEing a Furry Badger in Bendir. It was not hostile when I AEed it.
When the AE ran out, an NPC ran over and killed it.
I've done this multiple times and when the AE ended it was never hostile as it wasn't hostile to start with.
Looks like something changed somewhere...
I might add that none of the commoner NPCs cared. Only the Earthkin Artillerist ran over from by Endy (I was near the caravan on Andy's horsey) to kill it.

Death to meles!
Re: AE of Furry Badger
I have been observing AE being all over the place, bit too much to even make a bug report just yet, honestly.
Sometimes the released henchmen *wandered off* as supposed to, and sometimes they didn't. Sometimes the initially friendly animals stayed friendly upon release, and sometimes they didn't. Some time I was allowed 3 AE'd animals at once, and most times I'm not (either case without any other summons/companions).
I wonder if this is a combination of obnoxious AI decisions (NPS hostile-ing each other) and particular critter species or just a bugged skill. The henchmen conversion in my case would hardly make it easier, sorry if it's irrelevant to your report.
