There was no refusal to prepare. For what it's worth it was on a character that was far above the needed minimum level to take the writ with every precaution taken vis a vie saves.

Also by wording your reply you might as well have said that. Just don't be surprised if you see less traffic from melees in the region post this change doing said writ.

I like this writ, it’s quick and with clarity or invis pots I don’t have big issues. I’ll take quick risk over slow safe any day of the week. These kinds of in and out writs are a gift when you have limited time to play.

*coughs* FoM potions stop hold too and last longer *coughs*.

And before you say "but they are expensive!" one I think they were getting fixed soon, and two this and its sister writ (the canyon) have always been a "I only have a half hour today but want some easy boom bash for xp", not a for profit writ. It would be awesome to see this writ expanded into the ruins up the hill, but its fine for what it is now.

You should also listen to Astral, he has it right. The writs with the snake men are the best way to sling shot up in levels really fast from 8-13ish, because as long as you prepare for their tricks they have nothing that can really kill your low hps out of the blue with a mega crit or a massive damage spell. It's true once in a blue they will catch you with your pants down with one of their tricks, but -pray is a thing.

The pureblood barely have any hp, ac, no discipline and no concentration. You will always knock them down if you got kd.

If you're a rogue you can sneak to kd them, if you are fighter you can just pop a invis potion or the clarity will last way longer than the fight itself and cost way less than the loot you get from them in terms of scrolls.

I think they were already were nerfed a lot from having fire shield before, right? That was the whole challenge with area before cause you needed a helmet of brilliance to do it, which isnt very tricky to get either.

I just avoid writs I can't do on a class solo. This writ can suck on a rogue if you get unlucky, yeah, but it's doable. There are far worse writs out there, like the spriggans/demons. I'd much rather see that get toned down. Unfortunately solo writ work on a mundane means you're going to die as you learn what you are and are not capable of, you don't have an elemental to go die for you.
