Sneak Disguise w/ Illusion Image

Post by Seren »

Description
==========

If you're sneaking while disguised and you send an illusion image, it shows your character's real name in the illusion.

I learned this the hard way!

Steps to reproduce
----------------------------

Sneak while disguised and use -project_image.

Expected result
-----------------------

Project image usually shows your disguise name when you cast it, as it should.

Actual result
-------------------

While sneaking however, it shows your character's truename which defeats the entire purpose of the disguise.

Bumping to remind myself to test this later.

Done.

Can confirm I have also been the victim of this.

Also

Sneaking strips the disguises placed on totems/summons/illusory clones.

When you sneak, it seems to revert the Character ID back to whatever the true ID is, and actions done while sneaking don't take your (or your companions) disguise identity.

Totemic Panthers and Bears will state they are Elemental Summons (while retaining the Totemic appearance)

Illusionary clones will sometimes revert to a true name when disguised/sneaked.

Yeah, it has to do with how the tokens are applied that "rename" characters- various prepends and appends. There are probably a few cases where they don't play nice if stacked or applied in different orders, just have to run through the combinations.

Done.
