My character currently has monk levels, providing him with 5 APR when unarmed. When I equip a normal (non-monk) weapon, my APR is reduced to 3 as intended. However, once I unequip the weapon my unarmed APR drops to 3. This is only fixed when I equip a monk weapon.

Steps to reproduce
----------------------------
This has been tested with a pickaxe, handaxe, and flail. Monk weapons like the naginata and club do not cause this to occur.

Expected result
-----------------------
APR should revert back to 5 when I unequip a weapon.

Actual result
-------------------
APR stays at 3

PGCC (updated) tested okay with all ex-UBAB weapons like quarterstaff, naginata, and sai.

Can you test with a newly created naginata and see if that persists?

Also which live server was this?

Also, make sure to attack with it and see if it's actually 5 attacks rather than just 3, the BAB regression appears to be -5 instead of -3 once the naginata is equipped on your screen.

If this has turned into a grandfathering issue I'll have to look into it further. (although on my PGCC test the character has old staff)

Have you tried attacking and see if you indeed only have 3 attacks? Or 5 attacks still occur within 1 round?

It's also odd that your AB got reduced all the way from 30s to 20s, there might be some weird error going on here. Can you also provide the server which this occurred?

The UBAB regression appears to be -3 instead of -5, the engine normally automatically adjusts the APR.

Yes, I've tried attacking and it is actually reduced down to three. The drop in AB is likely because the character is a Spellsword, and thus might be losing some of the bonus? This has occurred on Distant Shores, and Underdark.

I merged these two topics since they're the result of one particular class combo:

Spellsword and Monk.

No technical issues with other combinations have been discovered yet with recent changes to monk's UBAB except for spellsword/monk. This is likely due to Spellsword's script modifying its BAB based on levels that scale beyond 20 levels of the class.

So I logged in on two of my alts today and found out... Monks get UBAB on monk weapons again?

Steps to reproduce

Step 1) Equip Monk Weapon
Step 2) Slap

Expected result
-----------------------
UBAB is gone, giving my character an existential crisis

UBAB is still in effect, giving me an existential crisis

After the recent Monk update, I did indeed lose UBAB as intended, but now when I logged in today I found it's back!
