Primitive/Elven Weapon Proficiency on Wild Elf Remake

Description of Bug Experienced:
After the monk weapon UBAB weapon change I collected a new build, inspired by the macuahuitl. My ranger monk wild elf would become a barbarian. I did a -remake_character before a server reset. Only recently did I double check my feat list to find that I lack primitive weapon proficiency and that I have elven weapon proficiency. I believe the system is still trying to grandfather in my elf, but with a total remake, it should be an entirely new build, just with the same name.


Steps to reproduce the Bug:
Due to the nature of having to -remake a minor award character, I can't reproduce this on my own.

Expected Result:
Wild elf with primitive weapon proficiency.

Actual Result:
Wild elf with elven weapon proficiency.

I was unsure if this was a bug or not and was sent to this forum by DM Raven, if this is intended I apologize for wasting peoples' time. Just hoping to be able to use the new, aztec weaponry.

Will this fix apply to my character or only freshly remade wild elves? If the latter, is there a way to change that?

If your character is under lvl6 it should be applied, let me know if it isn't

I am level 24, and it is not applied.

Established wild elves will retain their elven weapon proficiency while not getting primitive weapon proficiency. They are grandfathered. Only new wild elves should get the primitive weapon proficiency and not elven weapon proficiency from now on.

Did you remake (as in, lowered to below lvl16 and deleted the character, restarted anew with no items) and get to lvl24 in between the days for the patch getting live? Or did you relevel?

I deleted the character and restarted with no items, this is how I learned there was a bug to report. The character is a brand new class entirely, went from a ranger to a barbarian.

I did a -remake on a 30 character, it deleveled me and deleted the character, had the server reset, made my new character, started playing because I didn't know primitive weapon prof was a feat, no-life played, realized I didn't have the feat, contacted the dms, kept leveling, reported this, kept leveling.

I made a ghost wise halfling bard that didn't get primitive prof, deleted at level 4 so cant see if it would have kicked in later.

Forest gnomes are correctly getting the prof, and forest gnome healers that were created before the update get the prof even though their class should lose all other profs, not sure if it's working correctly for new forest gnome healers or not.

A fix for both wild elves and ghostwise hin is in the pipeline. I'm just going to allow all pre-existing wild elves to get primitive weapon proficiency.
