Firewalls stacking

Post by malcolm_mountainslayer »

Description
==========
Firewalls casted on the same spot will stack
Steps to reproduce
----------------------------
repeatively cast firewall on same spot, lure enemies to same spot
Expected result
-----------------------
Firewalls with too much overlap should displace the previous casting according to listed changes in the past (and confirmed to work that way to in the past).
Actual result
-------------------
Firewalls stack with no space between them required
Screenshot(s)
--------------------

Misc Notes
----------------
I saw someone mentioning other AoE peristent spells stacking as well on discord before conducting test for firewalls.
Which Server(s)?
------------------------
Tested on Skal
Gaming Platform(s)?
------------------------------
Test on PC

One of two spells (the other is Blade Barrier) that do stack.

Ice walls also stack, along with Spike growth (Altough spike growth is low dmg)

Not a bug. These spell effects have always been stackable.

Yeah it's been covered before. As far as rulings have been done in past it's a feature not a bug.

Wonder if the stance is changing for all such spells.

Currently playing: Vinur Reiziger (sorta shelved, sorta not), Samwell Twolife

Spike Growth was never meant to stack, so I assume the stance will stand.

This took a weird turn after I posted that so hang tight for now. Still need to look into the stacking side of things (no changes pushed yet) but as always expect to see any changes posted in the announcements channel and forums when "official."

Done.

Perhaps the damage of spike growth can be made more frontloaded, if the stacking of spike growth is removed? Also, putting spike growth followed by any persistent AoE such as stone hold, seems to cancel/dispel the spike growth.

Stacking is intended. Not a bug.
