Hello!
Wanted to ask if there was a reason behind the lvl 16 requirment for the spear (giant femur base price is actuallymore than a damask weapon // not the masterly of course)
I can see that massive criticals makes it a little better than a masterly steel, and the 50 crafting points required means it will be easier to make, yet the drop rate of giant bones is VERY low (really, had to scour the gnipahellir in Skal back and fort where's there's only giantkin and it took me a long time to get 4 pieces) and requires either a party helping you to get them at lower levels or being strong enough to be able to fight giants and their like, while iron and coal can be found pretty much everywhere.
More importantly at 16 there are clearly better choices...hence the topic. Perhaps there is a combo I'm not seeing, a spell that could make use of the extra damage, but if that's not the case, can the requirement be lowered to the same of a masterly steel? Or perhaps greensteel, at 11 the choice between +1 of attack and the extra damage is still valid.
Thanks for the time!

Re: Giant Femur Spear
The bonus damage on the Giant Femur Spear is bludgeoning damage. When you enhance it with Bladethirst or Bless Weapon for instance, the enhancement bonus damage is based on the weapon damage type (so piercing) and stacks with the bludgeoning damage. This makes the Giant Femur Spear really good.niar3tir wrote: Wed Nov 03, 2021 2:12 pm Hello!
