Missing Vampire Skills?
I've noticed that while the vampire race does offer many perks (and MANY weaknesses), a few of the gifts one might think would be given are not. Of this, I refer to the "Keen Senses" they are known to have as apex predators. Ideally, I believe there should be a bonus too:
Spot - Keen predator eyes
Listen - Keen Hearing
Climb - Can take both bat & gas form
The vampire system is an old one, from what I have been told, and was likely overlooked when the skills had their major update. I wonder if this could be easily corrected or would be too much trouble to bother with.

Re: Missing Vampire Skills?
Keen senses is tied to also having permanent detect mode and probably much too strong as a result.
I could see the much lesser version 'Alertness' being okay, since it's just a +2 spot and listen, and it won't elbow into the elf and rogue class feature too much. With such a small change I doubt anyone will be rushing to slip that in, but hey, vampires can see in the dark now!
Plus detect mode being used for walk, and easily toggled in the radial, is just way too nice of a QOL to lose lol. That's a whole free quickslot right there.

So we're very much on track.

Re: Missing Vampire Skills?
That's true. While definitely a QoL change and a minor one I feel even a +2 would be a nice improvement for what is supposed to be a top-tier predator.
Also . . . SEEING IN THE DARK NOW IS AWESOME!

I hear what you are saying but, I just think that if you are wanting to play a vampire with these classic vampire abilities you just need to account for it with your build. We can't expect to say, for example, vampires are known to be big sneaks and make your build a pure cleric and ask for the DEVs to give your character hide/ms as class skills. So, if you want super detection make build choices that allow for it.

Ya I mostly agree with Curve here. Adjusting this race in any direction, as far as numbers go, is a bit spooky for me - once that balance pendulum starts to swing its scary stuff knowing there's no simple remake. It's just *poof*.
Thematic class choice seems the optimal solution to get to that good hunter feel if that's the angle.
Right now I feel like it's in a 'good enough' spot (sans the bugs) to hesitate at any numerical changes up or down.
