Getting wrong appraise prices in party

Post by ltlukoziuz »

Description of Bug Experienced:
Party of four people. I'm the leader of it with no appraise. There's a bard with 91 appraise total after all (including market day to all), and two more people with lowish appraise too like me. First, the bard comes up to peddler and gets their prices. Then one of other folk came up to peddler. Then I come - and instead of getting bard's prices, I got the second person's prices.

Steps to reproduce the Bug:
Be in party with high appraise person and low appraise person.
Take shopping in order of high -> low (not tested repeatedly)

Expected Result:
I get high appraise prices (was 785 for that person)

Actual Result:
I get second person's prices (was 422)

Too much personal info, PM

I've noticed that if someone speaks to the peddler, not in the party, that my prices can switch to theirs if I was there first. I thought it was reported once but I could be wrong.

The easy solution to this right now is to re-open the trade with the highest appraise person, without adjusting their appraise, it should then reset to their value for anyone currently in the store and party.
Of course I urge you to test that before bulk selling but this is from a point of personal experience.
It's worth noting the sale price on an item doesn't always update when the store appraise sale value does, so you may see 600 and get 300, inversely you may see 300 and get 600. It's always best to let a dedicated individual do the selling in a quiet place for this reason alone.

Code wise I can take a look soon and see what's going on.

That's the thing which I forgot to mention. We tried dancing around a bit to get high appraise person to talk and then me immediately, but the game was stubborn, I kept getting the wrong person's prices. I will throw you a screenshot in private, Sincra, to better exemplify it. Although now that you say, we didn't end up testing whether it was actually selling for so, only seeing the visual, and I just dumped my loot into nearby barrel for dedicated seller.

The seller needs to leave the shop window open, then have the appraiser reopen it. That might be the problem you're experiencing.
