Spears were recently made small, which I recall was in order to enable shield use for smaller races. This however resulted in a complication.
Due to the small size, spirited charge is currently impossible with a spear and initiating a charge results in an error message.
Spear is separately listed among the more effective weapons for spirited charges. I think an override is needed to once more enable the use of spear with spirited charge.
