An idea...?
I know this would probably be considered a suggestion but could the vfx of freedom of movement be removed? We already did so with barkskin and the graphic makes it look like someone chopped off part of your feet as its not set on the ground but a bit above it. Also less vfx means less lag when major events occur and that is always a plus.
Re: An idea...?
I think FoM is an important visual to be seen. To know whether your friend has it or the enemy has it is important knowledge. Barkskin gives you a little AC. FoM gives you outroght immunity to several effects.
Perhaps the vfx could be updated to a more modern version, if found on the internet, but I do not think it can be removed outright.
...also, i know it is just a small pet peeve of mine, but i wish people would name their forum threads with the actual topic they want to discuss rather than a vague phrase that could mean anything. Internet is full enough of clickbaits already as it is.

Updating it in some way to make it look better, or maybe pushing the vfx all the way down to the ground would be just as good yes... if it can be done.
Re: An idea...?
I'm against removing this as it is. It needs to be a very obvious effect for the same reasons Skarain gave. It's a very strong ward and should be noticeable.
Re: An idea...?
As a breachable effect that invalidates a good portion of magic, a visual indication is mandatory.
Suggestions are locked but if someone did want to investigate why people are experiencing feet chop off that wouldn't go amiss.
